Martha Calvert

Martha Moody Calvert, age 80, Dallas, passed away on Sunday, May 05, 2013. Martha was born May 28, 1932 in Dallas, Ga. to the late William L. Moody and Flora Mae Ratteree Moody and was preceded in death by her husband; Jerome Calvert and sister; Nell Moody.

Martha was a member of Unity Baptist Church where she was very active in the Senior’s Group as well as the director. She was an avid seamstress and quilter, she loved to work in her yard with her flowers and garden. Martha was a very dedicated grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include, daughters; Sandra Calvert Fowler of Covington, Jennifer (Rob) Watkins of Dallas, brother and sister-in-law; Leroy & Pat Moody of Dallas,Ga., sister; Jessie Moody James of Marietta,Ga., grandchildren;
James & Michelle Poore of Monticello,Ga., Matthew Kerlin of Covington, Ga.,
Alex Fowler of Covington, Ga., Misty Watkins & Jeff Scott of Snellville, Ga.,
Rachel Watkins & Zach Orten of Bethlehem, Ga., Sarah Watkins & Harrison Strickland of Moody, Ala., great grandchildren; Mackenzie Poore,
Kaylee Poore of Monticello, Ga., Teagon Kerlin of Covington, Ga., Wills Strickland of Moody Ala., Brady Orten of Bethlehem, Ga., numerous nieces,
nephews, and close friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 08, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from Unity Baptist Church, with Reverend Don Voyles officiating.
Interment will follow in Kennesaw Memorial Park. The family will receive
Friends at the funeral home on Tuesday May 7, 2013 from 6-8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations are made to Loving Arms Cancer Research.
Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
