Martha Jan Fortenberry

Martha Jan Fortenberry, age 72, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 21, 1947 in Albertville, AL to her late parents; William and Madell Ramsey. Mrs. Fortenberry was retired from Medical Disposables/Inbrand, where she had worked for 28 years. Martha was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arel Fortenberry, brother, Lamar Ramsey, sisters; Phyllis Tomlin, Ann Horner, Janet Haynes, and great grandchild, Clint Key.

Mrs. Fortenberry is survived by her loving children; Will (Beth) Fortenberry of Ranburne, AL,  Joe (Shelia) Fortenberry of Cartersville, GA, Barbara (Robert) Payne of Dallas, GA, sister, Carol Smith of Boaz, AL, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Martha Fortenberry will be held on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Clark Funeral Home at 1:00 PM with Mr. Paul Wilder officiating. Interment will follow the service at Paulding Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 5, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who will not be able to attend the service or visitation in person due to the states Covid-19 restrictions. (No more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time) If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Clark Funeral Home recommends that a face mask be worn and that social distancing is practiced to help prevent the spreading any possible illnesses and to help keep our visitors, friends and the family members of Mrs. Fortenberry safe.
