Martha Joe (Shipp) Thomason

Martha Joe Thomason, 86, of Dallas, GA passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020, at Paulding Wellstar Hospital in Hiram. She was born on February 1, 1934 in Powder Springs, GA to the late Talmage M. and Nora L. Pickett Shipp.

Mrs. Thomason was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. For more than 25 years she was the assistant manager for Picketts Mill Visitor Center.

Mrs. Thomason is survived by her sister, Joan Shipp of Dallas, GA and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Thomason, and her son, Randy Thomason.

In accordance with Mrs. Thomason’s wishes, her body was cremated and no services are planned at this time.

Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
