Mary Frances Cavender

Mary Frances Cavender, age 84, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015. She was born on March 25, 1931, in Boaz, AL, to the late Raymond & Geneva Calhoun, and was preceded in death by her husband, William Jackson Cavender, and son Carlton Cavender. Mrs. Cavender was a member of Douglasville Baptist Temple.

Survivors include son, Chris (Kim) Cavender of Villa Rica; daughter, Jaye (David) Gatch of Clarkdale, GA; brothers, Robert Calhoun of Pelham, AL, and Earl (Shirley) Calhoun of Southside, AL; sisters, Edna (Russ) McCall of Smyrna, GA, and Dorothy (Jimmy) Mitchell of Lincoln, AL; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015, at 11 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Neal Beard officiating. Interment will follow in Pinetucky Baptist Church Cemetery in Heflin, AL, on Friday, April 24, 2015, at 1:30 PM CST. Ryan Gatch, Anthony Cavender, Rodney McCall, Russ McCall, Ray Calhoun and Larry Mitchell will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 23, 2015, from 5 PM until 8:30 PM.
