Mary A. Cole, age 91, of Centre, AL, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014. The daughter of the late, Jim & Linda Blackston, she was born on May 5, 1923 in Carbon Hill, AL. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Marie Blackmon. Mrs. Cole was a member of Narroway Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Maxie Cole; sons & daughters-in-law, Raymond Baxter & wife, Laverne of Dallas, GA and Billie Baxter & wife, Millie of Centre, AL; grandchildren, Barry Baxter, Cristy Singletary, Lisa Wilkerson and Kevin Baxter; many great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 23, 2014, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Bethany Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 22, 2014, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
