Mary Knight

Mary Laura Knight passed away on April 17, 2024. She was born on September 3, 1928, to the late Gordon and Hannie Mae Kirkland in Archer, Florida. Mary was a devoted member of First Methodist Church in Powder Springs, Georgia where she loved attending services. In her early days, she enjoyed gardening and spending time outside tending to her plants. Mary's family was very important to her and she took pride in always being there for them. She sacrificed for her family and always made sure they had what they needed before ever thinking of herself.

Mary always saw the good in people and her kind and loving nature left a mark on everyone she met. She was loved by all who came to know her and Mary will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Henry Knight Jr.; her daughter-in-law, Eloise Knight; grandson, Bretton Knight; and four of her siblings.

Mary is survived by her sons, Charles F. (Annalie E.) Knight and Henry H. Knight III; grandchildren, Henry H. Knight IV, Michael Joel Knight, Joel Ethan Knight, Christina Nicole Knight, Sarry Wayne Knight, Chloe Higgins, Noah Higgins; great-grandchildren, Michael Henry Knight, Audrey Knight, and Luka Knight; and one brother who lives in Florida.

The family will receive friends and loved ones at Powder Springs First Methodist Church on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. 

A Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Sheila Crowe officiating.
