Mary Alice Martin

Mary Martin, age 94, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Wellstar Paulding Nursing and Rehab. She was born on November 3, 1925 in Morganton, N.C., to her late parents; Murcius and Donnie Lowdermilk. Mrs. Martin worked as a homemaker, assisted The Atlanta Board of Education in the food industry and helped The Atlanta Police Department with school crossings. Mary was Baptist by faith. Mrs. Martin was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Thomas Martin, daughter, Donna Ann Martin, one brother, and one sister.

Survivors include her sons; Ted (Cissy) Martin of Douglasville, GA, Tim (Lori) Martin of Hiram, GA, daughter, Sherry Martin Wiggins of College Park, GA, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Martin will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at 3:00 PM at The Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Arnold Brown officiating. The family will receive friends before the funeral service on Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 1:00 PM until the service begins at 3:00 PM. Interment will be held at Catawba Memorial Cemetery in Hickory, N.C., on Monday, December 23, 2019 at 1:00 PM.
