Mary Hearn Pearson

Mary Pearson passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. She was born on April 1, 1932, daughter of the late William and Mattie Jones Hearn in Atlanta, GA.

Mary was a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She lived in Powder Springs, Georgia and graduated from O'Keefe High School. Mary was an active member of the Mount Paran Central Church of God. Mary was a very family oriented person and was very active in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. She was a homemaker until her children were adults, at which point she worked at Canada Life Insurance Company and later Lightnet Corporation. Mary loved traveling to the beach, especially Destin, Florida.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Jimmy Wayne Pearson. She is survived by two sons, Steve Pearson (Valerie) of Marietta, Georgia and Bryan Pearson (Carole) of Dallas, Georgia; three grandchildren, Amy (Mikel) Hornsby, Skylar Pearson and Trent Pearson; one great-grandson, Kelton Pearson and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Graveside Service for Mary will be held at Westview Cemetery on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 1:00 PM with Dr. Kent Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mary's honor to the Susan G. Komen Foundation .
