Mary Strickland

Mary C. Strickland, age 82, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2016. She was born on November 15, 1933, in Powder Springs, GA, to the late James Jackson Croker & Ennis Jones Croker. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Strickland, her son, James Wayne Strickland & her grandson, Shawn Stefan Rainwater. Mrs. Strickland adored her family and loved her church, Pleasant Hill Baptist. She also enjoyed shopping, and was retired from Avon Products.
Survivors include daughter & son-in-law, Debbie & Mike Henson of Dallas, GA; sister, Leona Davis of Suches, GA; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces & nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Strickland will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2015, at 2:00 PM, from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with Reverend Llyod Latham & Reverend Justin Hayles officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Powder Springs, GA. Serving as pallbearers will be, Ricky Davis, Eddie Strickland, Robert Davis, Gerami Henson, Alex Hubbard, Randy Fens & Niko Fens.
The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
Flowers are graciously accepted, or donations may be contributed to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Maintenance Fund.
