Mary Ann Wigley, age 91, of Powder Springs, GA, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at her residence. She was born on June 15, 1929 in Dallas, GA, to her late parents; Marcus B. and Floy T. Gober. Mary was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister; Shirley Mae Bradford of Florida, brothers; Leon Gober of Atlanta, GA., Raymond Gober of Blue Ridge, GA., and son; Robert Wayne Melton of Jefferson, GA.
Mrs. Wigley is survived by her loving husband; John J. Wigley, daughter; Kitty and Charles Phillips of Powder Springs, GA., son; Larry and Kathy Melton of Braswell Mtn, GA., 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 7 great great-grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wigley will be held Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 1:00 PM with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Rev. Ray Gober and Rev. Larry Brooks will be officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Roswell, GA.
The family would like to extend their love and appreciation to everyone who will not be able to attend the service in person due to the states Covid-19 restrictions (no more than 50 people inside the funeral home at one time). If attending the visitation or service, the staff of Clark Funeral Home highly recommends that a face mask be worn and that social distancing is practiced helping prevent the spreading of any possible illnesses and to help keep visitors, friends, and family members of Mrs. Wigley safe.
