Melvin "Pete" Wayne Smith passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022. He was born on December 16, 1936, son of the late William and Jeanette (Bush) Smith in Keensburg, Illinois. He worked as an Auto mechanic teacher at McEachern High School for 18 years. Pete enjoyed deer and turkey hunting.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mickey Smith; 2 sons, Rodney Smith, Randy Smith; 3 daughters, Toni Clarke, Bev Smith, Vickie Fiorentino; 1 sister, Teddy Merrick; seven grandkids; and 13 great-grandkids.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
