Michael Carr

Michael L. Carr, age 59, of Hiram, passed away on Saturday, September, 1, 2012. He was born on June 4, 1953, and was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Carr. Mr. Carr was a United States Navy Veteran, employed as a truck driver, and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Pam Carr of Hiram; sons and daughter-in-law, Kris Thompson of Orlando, FL, and Raymond & Jean Carr of Marietta; daughter and son-in-law, Michele & Eric Roberson of Smyrna; mother, Lois Carr of Mableton, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy & Steve Smith of Douglasville; three grandchildren, and several nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at 3 p.m., from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Harry Hawkins, Reverend Chris Branscomb, and Mitzi Oats officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Steve Smith, Kris Thompson, Eric Smith, Deric Smith, Eric Roberson, Chuck Hart, and Fred Wethington will serve as pallbearers. Garmon Oats will serve as a honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 3, 2012, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m
