Michael Forrest Ownbey, age 52, of Villa Rica, GA (Douglas County), passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011. The son of Helen Mathis and the late, Johnny Ownbey, he was born September 28, 1958, in California.
Mr. Ownbey was a U. S. Army veteran of Desert Storm. He worked as a welding supervisor for West Cobb Engineering.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Ownbey; sons & daughters-in-law, Brandon Pilcher of Villa Rica, GA, Bruce & Jamie Moody of Dallas, GA, Aaron & Lindsey Ownbey of Chatsworth, GA, and Brian & Misty Moody of Killeen, TX; daughter & son-in-law, Cassie & Jacob Bowey of Temple, GA;
mother, Helen Mathis of Rome, GA; brothers & sister-in-law, Mickey & Debra Ownbey of Taylorsville, GA and Gary Mathis of Charlotte, NC; sisters & brothers-in-law, Dianne & Donald Morrow of Clewiston, FL and Denise & Jimmy Carter of Lindale, GA; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Sunday, March 13, 2011, at 2:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Melrose Hills Memorial Park in Villa Rica, GA. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 12, 2011, at Clark Funeral Home, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
