Mike Allen Ballew, 68, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024. He was born on July 28, 1955, in Marietta, Georgia, a son of the late Carl and Louise Ballew.
Mike was deeply committed to the people he held dear. His devotion to his wife, Wanda Ballew, knew no bounds, and together they shared a bond built on love, trust, and commitment. Mike was a loving father, always ready to lend an ear, provide guidance, and support his children through every triumph and challenge. As a Papa, he cherished the special moments spent with his grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured for generations to come.
In his free time, Mike was an avid sports fan, rooting on the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, and Atlanta Falcons. He found joy in watching NASCAR races and the excitement of professional wrestling, cheering on his favorite athletes and teams.
Throughout his life, Mike's unwavering faith in God served as a guiding light. His spiritual foundation provided him with strength, peace, and a steadfast moral compass that shaped his interactions with others.
Mike's legacy of compassion, kindness, and selflessness will forever live in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him. He was truly one of the kindest men you would have ever met. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving family, friends, and community.
Mike is survived by his wife of 47 years, Wanda Ballew; a son, Allen Ballew (Fallon); a daughter, Kayla Gibel (Travis); four grandchildren, Lucas Gibel, Lily Gibel, Rylen Ballew, and Adalyn Ballew; four brothers, J.C. Ballew, Paul Ballew, Terry Ballew, and Kenneth Thompson.
The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Funeral Service for Mike will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Troy White officiating. Interment will follow at Smyrna Methodist Church Cemetery with Jeff Ligon, Ricky Ballew, Bryan Ballew, Tyler Hawthorne, Henry Wisner, and Jimmy Hannah serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Lucas Gibel and Rylen Ballew.
Mike Allen Ballew's unconditional love, caring nature, and unwavering faith will forever leave a lasting impact on all who were fortunate to cross paths with him. May he rest in eternal peace.
