Millie Emery "Big Ma" Hyden, age 77 of Dallas formerly of Greenville, South Carolina passed away Friday July 20, 2007 at Tranquility Hospice in Austell. She was born in Saluda, South Carolina on October 22, 1929, daughter of the late James Thomas Emery and Janie Peace Emery. " Big Ma" retired from Bahan Industries where she worked in the tool room, she was a member of Piedmont Park Baptist Church in Greenville, SC , and attended West Ridge Church in Dallas, Ga.
Proceeded in death by her husband John E. Hyden.
Survived by Son John F. and Mona Hyden , Dallas, Ga. Grandchildren John F. Hyden, Jr. , Michelle and Josh Smith, Michael and Mellisa Hyden all of Dallas, Ga. Great Grandchild Jacob Smith, Dallas, Ga.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 23, 2007 at 7pm from Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers Matt Wilmington and Dave Cole officiating with Interment following Tuesday July 24, 2007 at 11:00am in Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Greenville, SC. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home Monday, July 23, 2007 from 4:30 pm till 7:00pm. The family request in lieu of flowers contributions be made in her memory to West Ridge Church 3522 Hiram Acworth Hwy Dallas, Ga. 30132, or to Piedmont Park Baptist Church 801 Piedmont Park Rd, Greenville, SC 29609.
