Milta "Millie" Mahoney passed away on April 25, 2024. She was born on April 27, 1946 to the late Ramon Perez and Maria Diaz Perez Cortes in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. Millie was a United States Air Force Veteran from 1974 to 2006 who also served in the Army from 1968 to 1972. She was a Senior Master Sergent who served in Vietnam and was known as a fierce leader. In the Air Force she was an Air Nurse who trained others. During her time in the military, Millie consistently pushed others to succeed and always lent a helping hand. Her heart was gold and she loved everyone as she was loved by all. Her adventurous spirit led her to have many friends as well as taking her to many special places throughout her career.

At home, Millie was a beacon of strength for her family. No matter what, she would always be there for her family. Being always a call away, they knew she could always be counted on. Her nieces and nephews were like her own children and she loved them as such. Millie loved Jesus and made sure it was known. While she lived in Georgia, Millie attended Grace Presbyterian Church in Douglasville, Georgia.

She was a strict Sergeant, loyal friend, and a true patriot to our country. She always done more than her share. Her giving, kind, and loving nature led her to make an impact on countless lives throughout her life. Millie was an incredible woman who loved to serve not only her country but everyone around her, too. May her legacy continue to live on in all those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Ramon Perez and Maria Diaz Perez Cortes, Millie is preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Braulio Lloret.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Manny (Ana) Perez; sister, Nancy M. Lloret; nieces, Denise Ramirez, Diana (Benny DeNegris) Lloret, Debbie Titus, Darlene Matonti, Rachel Bird, Amanda Doninely; nephews, Manny L. Perez, John F. Lloret, Raquel S.
