Nellie Harp

Nellie R. Harp age 78 of Powder Springs, GA, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011. She was born in Blue Ridge, GA, January 17, 1933 and was preceded in death by her parents Homer Turner and Ethel Curtis Turner and husband Hershel “Thomas” Harp, Brothers Kenneth Turner, Doc Turner, Arthur Turner. Nellie was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Survivors include her sons Lamar and his wife Rose Harp, Dallas, GA, Doyle and his wife Misty Harp, Dallas, GA, Charles and his wife Elaine Harp, Dallas, GA, Danny and his wife Cindy Harp, Cumming, GA, sisters Juanita Wilbanks, Acworth, GA, Alice Cantrell, Acworth, GA, 2 grandsons, 8 granddaughters, 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 18, 2011 at 3pm from Crossroads Baptist Church she will lie in state from 2 till 3, with Rev. Harold Turner and Rev. David Chaffin officiating with interment to follow in Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 4-8 pm.
