She was born on September 9, 1969, in Austell, Georgia, to her parents whom she dearly cherished. Nicki was a vibrant soul who touched the lives of many through her kind-hearted nature and unwavering dedication to the healthcare profession.
Having earned two bachelor’s degrees, Nicki embarked on a fulfilling career as a nurse, working for Paulding County Public Health. She displayed exceptional skills and compassion, providing comfort and care to countless patients throughout her tenure. Nicki's dedication to her profession was evident in every interaction, as she effortlessly combined her knowledge with her innate ability to bring solace and healing to those in need.
Away from her career, Nicki found profound joy in her personal life. She was a devoted spouse of thirty-three years to her loving husband Percy Lance Ivey, sharing a union built on love, support, and unwavering partnership. Their bond was an inspiration to all who knew them and served as a reminder of the strength that can be derived from true love and commitment.
Nicki was an adoring mother to her daughter, Joy Ivey-Obeng, who brought immeasurable happiness and pride to her life. Family and friends will gather to reminisce, share stories, and find comfort in each other's presence on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 11:00 am until the service hour at the Northwest Christian Church, 3737 Dallas Acworth Highway, Acworth, Georgia.
The funeral services to honor Nicki's life will begin at 12:00 noon with Lead Pastor Jay Rice or Executive Pastor Jerran Wolf officiating. Percy Ivey, Joy Ivey-Obeng, and Charleelaine Kealoha will deliver eulogies.
Following the service, a committal service and burial will be held at Georgia National Cemetery at 2:30 pm.
