Nicki Kathleen Ivey, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and dedicated nurse, passed away on December 26, 2023, at the age of 54. She was born on September 9, 1969, in Austell, Georgia, to her parents whom she dearly cherished. Nicki was a vibrant soul who touched the lives of many through her kind-hearted nature and unwavering dedication to the healthcare profession.

Having earned two bachelor’s degrees, Nicki embarked on a fulfilling career as a nurse, working for Paulding County Public Health. She displayed exceptional skills and compassion, providing comfort and care to countless patients throughout her tenure. Nicki's dedication to her profession was evident in every interaction, as she effortlessly combined her knowledge with her innate ability to bring solace and healing to those in need.

Away from her career, Nicki found profound joy in her personal life. She was a devoted spouse of thirty-three years to her loving husband Percy Lance Ivey, sharing a union built on love, support, and unwavering partnership. Their bond was an inspiration to all who knew them and served as a reminder of the strength that can be derived from true love and commitment.

Nicki was an adoring mother to her daughter, Joy Ivey-Obeng, who brought immeasurable happiness and pride to her life. Their bond transcended the confines of mere family ties, evolving into a deep and unbreakable friendship. Nicki's heart swelled with joy when she became a grandmother to Alexander Obeng, a bright ray of sunshine who became the apple of her eye.

Renowned for her warm and outgoing personality, Nicki formed lasting friendships wherever she went. Among those closest to her was her sister, Charleelaine Kealoha, with whom she shared countless memories and secrets. Their sisterhood was a source of strength, laughter, and unwavering support.

Nicki's passing leaves a void in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her absence will forever be felt, but her memory will continue to inspire and guide us. She leaves behind her Aunt Betty Johnson, who stood as a pillar of wisdom and compassion in her life.

Family and friends will gather to reminisce, share stories, and find comfort in each other's presence on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 11:00 am until the service hour at the Northwest Christian Church, 3737 Dallas Acworth Highway, Acworth, Georgia.

The funeral services to honor Nicki's life will begin at 12:00 noon with Lead Pastor Jay Rice or Executive Pastor Jerran Wolf officiating. Percy Ivey, Joy Ivey-Obeng, and Charleelaine Kealoha will deliver eulogies.

Following the service, a committal service and burial will be held at Georgia National Cemetery at 2:30 pm.

Nicki Kathleen Ivey will forever be cherished and remembered for her immense capacity for love, her compassionate nature, and her unwavering dedication to helping others. Her light will continue to shine bright in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
