Nona Cates

Nona Francine Cates, age 71, of Dallas, GA, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011. She was born January 23, 1940, in Riverside, CA, and was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Manuel Barrigan & Frances Rose Barrigan and a brother, Jerry Barrigan. Mrs. Cates was a homemaker and a member of New Canaan Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Cates; daughters & sons-in-law, Tonya & Robert Hardy of Dallas, GA, Sonja Bradshaw of Smyrna, GA, Janet & Edgar Flores of Leander, TX, Jamie Webb of Dallas, GA, Sherri Hardy of Dallas, GA, and Debi & Mickey Carney of Cedartown, GA; brothers & sister-in-law, Frank & Cheryl Barrigan of San Diego, CA and Patrick Barrigan of San Diego, CA; sisters & brothers-in-law, Josie & Mac MacArthur of San Diego, CA, Phyllis Orosco of Bend, OR, Judy Smith of Kansas and Sharon & Robert Shields of North Carolina; grandchildren, Matthew Hardy & Robbyn Brown, Andrew Martin, Kyle Martin, Heather Knowles Pugh & Tim Pugh, Justin & Jennifer Knowles, Richard Knight, Jr., Sara Knight, Stephanie & David Cribbs, Melanie Carney, Jeremy Carney & Haley Blankenship, Bryan Webb and Brianna Webb; great-grandchildren, Hayden Hardy, Keegan Knowles, Ethan McCampbell, Autumn Hardy, Callen Brown, Presley Carney, Kolsen Veitch, Christopher Bickford and Jana Francine Hardy; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 1, 2011, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend James Cook and Reverend Jason Loudermilk officiating. Entombment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens with Robert Hardy, Matthew Hardy, Justin Knowles, Jeremy Carney, Tim Pugh, Ed Flores and Bryan Webb serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home, on Thursday, June 30, 2011, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
