Norman Martin

Norman Earl Martin, age 79, of Dallas, GA, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012. The son of the late, Rufus Martin and the late, Lillian Watkins Martin, he was born March 9, 1932, in Stilesboro, GA. Mr. Martin was a carpenter all of his life and loved his carpentry work. He enjoyed gardening and his flowers and loved to fish. Mr. Martin was a member of New Hope First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred R. Martin; son & daughter-in-law, Randy & Peggy Martin of Panama City, FL; daughter & son-in-law, Janis & Glenn O’Neal of Dallas, GA; step-sons, Keith Harris (Sue) of Panama City, FL and Dewey Lee Harris (Shirley) of Merritt Island, FL; sisters, Estelle Bailey of Gainesville, GA and Frances Leonard of Roanoke, VA; grandchildren, Christine O’Neal and Bryan Martin; great-grandchild, Tyler Martin; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 24, 2012, at 11:00 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Durwood Perry and Reverend Gary Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in Old Roswell Cemetery in Roswell, GA. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home, on Thursday, February 23, 2012, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
