Patsy Elvira Vernon, a cherished mother, grandmother, devoted wife, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on January 9, 1944, in Cartersville, Georgia, to the late Fred and Fannie Moore, Patsy was a woman of remarkable strength, unwavering love, and a feisty spirit that left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
A hardworking woman, she worked as a supervisor at Flight Insulation Company for over 45 years, There her strong work ethic and leadership qualities shone brightly. Patsy's wisdom, integrity, and kindness made her a trusted mentor and friend to many.
Her passion for life extended beyond her work. Patsy was deeply devoted to her faith and loved her church, *Revival Baptist Church*. Her love for the Lord and her church family was an integral part of who she was, and she found joy in sharing her faith with others.
Above all, Patsy's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife to her loving husband, AV Vernon, and a fiercely protective mother to her children: James Morris, Bobby Joe (Pamela) Morris, Michelle "Sissy" (Mike) Jones, Cindy Rhodes, Tammy Vernon, and Sharon McAlister. Patsy also adored her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and had a wide circle of friends who were touched by her warm heart and vibrant personality.
Patsy's legacy lives on in the love she gave to her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Anthony McAlister; her granddaughter, Kirstie Nicole Morris; and her parents, Fred and Fannie Moore.
A funeral service will be held in her honor on March 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Sam Clark Chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Ricky Shirley and Pastor Kenny Moore officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home. Following the service, Patsy will be laid to rest at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park with Christopher Jones, Bruce Clayton, Mikey Jones, Chad Rhodes, Dustin Rhodes, and Austin Morris serving as pallbearers, and Chris Orlando, Matt Hooten, Kyle Barnes, Josh Moser, Justin Cox, and Matthew Moser serving as honorary pallbearers.
As we remember Patsy, we celebrate her strength, her love, and her legacy. Let us hold dear the memories of her warmth, her feisty spirit, and the laughter that filled the lives of all who knew her. Her love and devotion to family and faith will live on in our hearts forever.
