Paul Heitsenrether

April 8, 1951 — April 16, 2025

Paul James Heitsenrether, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on April 8, 1951, in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, to the late Harvey Paul and Dorothy Margaret Heitsenrether, Paul was known for his kind spirit, sense of humor, and joyful presence.

Affectionately known by his family as "Pops," Paul lived a life rooted in hard work, family, and simple joys. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and proudly served the Cobb County Department of Transportation for over 20 years, beginning as an equipment operator and rising through the ranks to retire as a district superintendent.

Outside of work, Paul found peace in nature. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting—hobbies that allowed him to connect deeply with nature. He also had a lifelong passion for motor sports, especially dirt track racing and NASCAR, often sharing these interests with family and friends. Whether he was cheering at the track or enjoying a quiet meal at Waffle House, Paul made the most of every moment, filling it with laughter, stories, and his signature warmth.

in addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife, Charlotte Jane Heitsenrether.

Paul is survived by his two devoted sons, James Heitsenrether and Jason (Shae) Heitsenrether. He was a proud grandfather to William Heitsenrether and Ashton Johnson, and a loving great-grandfather to Charlotte Johnson. His family will forever carry the memories of his wisdom, unwavering support, and unconditional love.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A Memorial Service will be held in the Sam Clark Chapel of Clark Funeral Home on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 3:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate Paul's life, share memories, and reflect on the joy he brought to all who knew him.
