Quentin Wiley, age 91, of Hiram, GA, passed away July 22, 2011. Born in Houschton, GA, June 9, 1920, he was preceded in death by his father, Cicero Scott Wiley; mother, Molly Wiley; brothers, Travis Wiley, Cicero Scott Wiley, Jr., Joe Wiley, and Jim Wiley; and sister, Ellen Venable. Mr. Wiley retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. He was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church, Dallas, GA.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ola Mae Wiley of Hiram, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Brenda & Jim Underwood of Hiram, GA; grandchildren, Beth & Mark Taglieber of Hiram, GA, and Amy & Charles Everett of Hiram, GA; great-grandchildren, David Taglieber and Matthew Taglieber of Hiram, GA; sisters, Katreen Hogan of Winder, GA and Bobbie Giles of Sanston, VA; nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held Sunday, July 24, 2011, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA and also, on Monday, July 25, 2011, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, at Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, GA. The funeral service will be Monday, July 25, 2011, at 11:00 AM, from Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, GA. Interment will follow in Gwinnett Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to: New Canaan Baptist Church, 3147 Atlanta Highway, Dallas, GA 30157 or
Forward in Faith at Dallas First United Methodist Church, 141 E. Memorial Drive, Dallas, GA 30132.
