Rebecca E. McLendon Hillhouse

Mrs. Rebecca Ellen Hillhouse, a devoted mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on January 18, 1938, in Coleman, Georgia, Rebecca lived her life with grace and dignity, exemplifying the values of hard work and compassion.

Rebecca, also known lovingly as Becky, was a dedicated mother to six children who exemplified the virtues of being a good Christian woman and she always prioritized her family. She cherished her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed their sweet company. Becky was deeply loved by her family and she will be greatly missed.

Becky is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Beard and Mary Beverely Beard; her son, Kenneth McLendon; and grandson Patrick McLendon.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Cordell, and her sons, Johnny McLendon, Anthony McLendon, William McLendon (Lori), and James "Barry" McLendon (Kim); her sister, Jessie Mae Rolison; fourteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and loved ones at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, February 16, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Rebecca will be held on February 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Sam Clark Chapel with Pastor Troy Hall officiating. 

Interment will immediately follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia.
