Richard Harold “Rick” Berrong, age 43, of Dallas, GA, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2009. He was born August 6, 1966 in Marietta, GA. Mr. Berrong was a wonderful father. He was a collector of gas station memorabilia and enjoyed antique cars. Mr. Berrong attended Freedom Fellowship.
Survivors include his wife, Christi Berrong; father, George Whitfield Berrong & wife, Barbara of Powder Springs, GA; mother-in-law, Barbara Brown of Austell, GA; mother, Diana Brasher & husband, Richard of Hayesville, NC; son, Mason Whitfield Berrong of Dallas, GA; daughter, Morgan Leigh Wallace of Dallas, GA; brothers, Robert Cory Berrong of Atlanta, GA and Christopher Berrong of Powder Springs, GA; grandmother, Louise Scroggs of Hayesville, NC.
Funeral services will be Sunday, December 13, 2009, at 4:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Bob Neal and Reverend Doc Frady officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. (The body will be cremated after the service.)
