Richard Elden Moore, age 67, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. He was born on October 9, 1949, in Chattanooga, TN, to the late William John & Hilda Moore, SR, and was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Moore, sisters, Frances Beasley, Dorothy Ellis, Barbara Wood, and Ann Watson. Mr. Moore worked in law enforcement with Austell, Hiram, Powder Springs, and at Paulding County Sheriff’s Department, and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Thomaston, GA.
Survivors include wife, Candy Sue Moore of Rockmart, GA; children, Maria Moore of Rockmart, GA, Dawn & Tommy Southern of Buchanan, GA, and Christina & Stephen Luttrell of Rockmart, GA; step-sons, Jeremy & Ashley Martin of Zebulon, GA, C.J. & Amanda Martin of Acworth ,G A and Brandon Martin of Rockmart, GA; brother, William John & Rebekah Moore, JR, of Sand Hill, GA; fourteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at 2 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor Don Camp officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, from 4 PM until 8 PM.
