Rick Bowhall, age 68, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019. He was born on September 24, 1950 in Alliance, OH to his late parents, Richard Leroy Bowhall Sr. and Victoria “Vicki” Bowhall. Mr. Bowhall suffered a massive heart attack in 1994 from which his heart never fully recovered, yet God gave him an amazing 25 more blessed years to spend with his family and friends. He made the most of that time traveling all over the country in an RV with his wife, Joyce making many new friends along the way. He enjoyed talking on his HAMM radio with the Silver Comet Amateur Radio Society, so he could meet people from all over the world. Mr. Bowhall was also a military veteran serving in the Army as a photographer and videographer during the Vietnam war. He ran his own small business in Ohio known as Rick’s Shoe Repair where he fixed many peoples’ shoes and clothing and helped anyone in any other means possible. He was a member of Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Joyce Romaine Bowhall of Dallas, GA, his children; Jim and Kathy Bowhall of Atlanta, GA, Michelle Bowhall of Dallas, GA, Nathan Bowhall of Atlanta, GA, sisters; Patty and Jeff Hahn of Alliance, OH, Jeanette Bowhall of Alliance, OH, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Rick Bowhall will be held at Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Glenn Petero officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to The American Heart Association in Mr. Bowhall’s honor.
