Rilla Ragsdale

Rilla Mae Sue Ragsdale, age 87, of Dallas, GA, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2007. A native of Paulding County, she was born February 16, 1920, to the late George Frederick Wigley & the late Lona Morgan Wigley. Mrs. Ragsdale was preceded in death by her husband, George Robert Ragsdale, Jr. She worked as an executive housekeeper in the hotel industry. Mrs. Ragsdale was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law, Bob & Camille Ragsdale of Powder Springs, GA; daughters & sons-in-law, Treva & Robert Chappell of Central, SC, Beth & Jerry Sellers of Marietta, GA, Gail & Harry Cook of Marietta, GA, and Cherry & Fred Platt of Dallas, GA; brother & sister-in-law, G. L. & Ellen Wigley of Dahlonega, GA; sister, Louise Sewell of Decatur, GA; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at 11:00am, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend George Barnett officiating. Interment will follow in New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery. George R. Ragsdale, IV, Daniel Ragsdale, Michel Pearson, Jimmy Jones, Rick Griffin and Kevin Hughes will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
