Robert (Robby) David Addington passed away on June 4, 2024. He was born on August 23, 1994, into a military family at Ft. Riley, Kansas. He then lived in Vicenza, Italy, Washington D.C., and Atlanta, Georgia.
After graduating high school, Robby enlisted in the U.S. Army and was assigned to the 3rd Infantry Regiment, The Old Guard. After completing his enlistment term, he enrolled at Kennesaw State University where he graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geospatial Engineering.
Robby married the love of his life Bethany Holzhauer and they settled in Powder Springs, Georgia. They shared a love of the outdoors and were always seeking new adventures together. Robby especially loved fishing and was always casting a line into any body of water he came across. He also loved all sports and participated in baseball, football, soccer, basketball, and tennis.
Robby is survived by his wife, Bethany; mother, Jeanne Addington of Dallas, Georgia; father, Michael Addington (Donna) of Santee, South Carolina; sister, Katherine Addington (London) of Hiram, Georgia; sister-in-law, Maddie Holzhauer (Zarek) of Rockmart, Georgia; grandfather, Bill Alexander of Garrettsville, Ohio; aunts, Meredith Shaw (Leo) and Betsey Alexander-Reed (Danny) of Garrettsville, Ohio; uncle, Larry Addington (Mindy) of Huntsville, Alabama; uncle, Samuel Addington of Goose Creek, South Carolina; and aunt, Lynne Baker (Ron) of Aurora, North Carolina; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A Memorial Service for Robby will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Douglasville, Georgia beginning at 2:00 PM with Reverend Jamie Witt officiating.
