Robert Garner

Robert Franklin Garner, age 88, of Rome, GA, passed away Monday, November 4, 2013. The son of the late, Robert Lee Garner & the late, Effie Cole Garner, he was born February 27, 1925, in Douglasville, GA. Mr. Garner was a lifelong resident of Paulding County. He served in the U. S. Army, worked for General Motors as a paint inspector and was a member of Yorkville Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Athaleen Rich Garner; sons & daughter-in-law, Mike & Deana Garner of Hiram, GA, and Shane Garner of Atlanta, GA; daughters & son-in-law, Anita & Chris Good of Rome, GA, and Vicki Ann Cobb of Alpharetta, GA; sister, Ruth Postell of Powder Springs, GA; grandchildren, Stacy & Carson Sanders of Sarasota, FL, John & Illy Good of Rome, GA, Mindi Bennett of Helen, GA, and Colin & Jillian Cobb of Alpharetta, GA; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at 2:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Todd Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Yorkville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home, on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
