Robert Carlton “Hoagie” Hogue, age 70, of Lithia Springs, GA, passed away Monday, August 11, 2014. The son of the late, Lyman Grant Hogue & the late, Martha Lois Griswell Hogue, he was born in Atlanta, GA, on December 27, 1943. Mr. Hogue was preceded in death by his five brothers and sisters. Following a longtime career as Vice President of Operations at Island Bank in Anna Maria Island, Florida, where he served the community as Chamber of Commerce President and Rotary Club Secretary, he returned home to Georgia retiring from First Union Bank. Mr. Hogue was a longtime member and deacon of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Hiram, GA.
Survivors include his brother, Lee Hogue of Sugar Hill, GA; sisters, Mrs. Melba Bagwell of Hiram, GA, Mrs. Betty Champion of Fairmount, GA, Mrs. Norma Head & husband, Gene of Hiram, GA, and Mrs. Ann Richardson of Alabama; brother-in-law, Bryant Seabrook of Douglasville, GA; thirteen nieces; fourteen nephews; multiple great & great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 14, 2014, at 11:00 AM, from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with Pastor Rodney Carson officiating. Mr. Hogue will lie-in-state at the church from 10:00 AM until the service time. Interment will be held in Riverview Memorial Park following the service, with Billy Seabrook, Grant Seabrook, Charles Seabrook, Kurt Head, Shane Head, Kurt Kercher and Jeff Champion serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
