Robert "Hap" Hord

Robert “Hap” Hord, age 66, of Powder Springs, GA, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014. The son of the late, Shelby R. & Doris B. Hord, he was born May 14, 1948, in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Hord was the owner of Brown Nursery & Landscaping since 1972. Hap loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was a loving husband and father. A friend to all, that never turned down someone in need. He will be missed.
Survivors include his wife of more than 47 years, Diane R. Hord; children, Lee & Carole Hord of Atlanta, GA, Jill & Tripp West of Powder Springs, GA and Jeff & Kate Hord of Marietta, GA; brother & sister-in-law, Steve & Karen Hord of Powder Springs, GA; sisters & brothers-in-law, Sue Williams of Douglasville, GA, Kathy & Ronnie Dorminy of Powder Springs, GA, Kim & Terry Holtzclaw of Canton, GA and Shelly & Stephan Wethmar of Germany; grandchildren, Kevin Hord (Megan), Amy Hord, Keely West, Emma West, Robert Hord, Daniel Hord and Thomas Hord; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 2, 2014, at 3:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Thomas Blagg officiating. Interment will follow in Mableton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 2, 2014, from 1:00 PM until the service time.
