Robert McDowell

Robert L. McDowell, age 66, of Powder Springs, GA, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011. The son of the late, Samuel & Connie Mae McDowell, he was born August 7, 1945, in Cedartown, GA. He was a self-employed construction worker. Mr. McDowell was a member of the Powder Springs Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Allen McDowell; sons & daughters-in-law, Roby & Sandra McDowell of Dallas, GA, Shawn & Mary McDowell of Dallas, GA, and Scott & Linda Smith of Akron, OH; daughters & son-in-law, Shannon Smith of Hawaii, Shanie & Victor McCarty of Marietta, GA, and Shay McDowell of Cedartown, GA; brothers & sisters-in-law, Gary & Linda McDowell of Acworth, GA, Bill & Marie McDowell of Powder Springs, GA, and Johnny & Francis McDowell of Douglasville, GA; sisters & brother-in-law, Betty & Gene Thomason of Powder Springs, GA, and Lucille Phillips of Pace, FL; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at 2:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeff Vaughn and Pastor John McDowell officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Cedartown, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
