Robert Houston “Bobby” Price, of Rockmart, GA (Paulding County)
died on, Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Bobby was born on October 8, 1932, in Montgomery County, Virginia, the son of the late Lester Allen and Myrtle Georgia Price. He was the widower of Mary Elizabeth “Betty”
Price. He was active in his home church, Sunnyside Lutheran, in Toms Creek, Virginia; was a minor league baseball player, a loving husband, father and grandfather. His family all know Bobby and Betty are together again. After retiring from a long career in the flooring industry, he worked at Winn Dixie Stores, then with Paulding County Schools as a custodian. He was well loved at Paulding County High School by students and teachers alike.
Surviving are daughters, Sherry Morrison of South Carolina, Kathy Mangold of Florida, and Patti Dawn of Ohio; sons, Steven Price of Virginia, and Mark Price of Ohio; sisters, Margaret Sullivan, Anza Ritter, and Wanda Gerald of Virginia; his adopted children and caregivers, Joe and Dolores Conner of Georgia; a foster son, Roger Carroll; fifteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and his friends.
Funeral services are being handled by Clark Funeral Home and will be held in Clark Chapel on Saturday, April 18, 2009, at 3:00 pm, with Reverend Charles E. Sheppard officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until the service time.
