Robert "Poppy" Wendel

Robert "Poppy" Wendel passed away on February 21, 2023. He was born on January 11, 1944 to the late Gus and Lillian Wendel. Poppy was a honest and kind man. He always did the right thing and put others before himself. He was a wonderful caretaker to many and he strived to always be there for those in his family. Robert was very loved and he will be very missed.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Virginia Wendel. He is survived by his daughter, Sherry Ann (Jeff) Rothenberger; his stepson, Donald (Sandra) Larsen Jr.; his brother, Kenneth (Vinnie) Wendel; brother-in-law, Edward Richards; and grandchildren, Corrinn Larsen and Jacalyn Larsen.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 11:00am until 1:00pm. Funeral services for Mr. Wendel will begin at 1:00pm with his stepson, Donald Larson Jr., officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Memorial Park.
