Roberta Oden

Roberta Marie Oden, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, at 82. Born November 14, 1942, in Wareham, Massachusetts, Roberta dedicated her life to caring for others personally and professionally. Having earned her degree, she became a compassionate nurse, touching the lives of many during her time at Forestview Nursing Home, from which she eventually retired. Roberta's nurturing spirit extended beyond her nursing career. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, including gardening, sewing, and cooking, where she showcased her culinary talents with family and friends. Her love for travel opened her heart and mind to diverse experiences she cherished and shared with her loved ones. Roberta was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert Oden, Sr and is survived by her devoted children: Rena (Glenn) Andrews, Robert (Christine) Oden, Jr., Rae (Keith Washington) Oden, Randy (Stephanie) Oden, Rachel (Ray) Mitchell, and Reggie Oden. She was a proud grandmother to her grandsons Marcus Oden, Jeremy Oden, Matthew Oden, Mason Andrews, and Nigel Oden and her granddaughter Micah Rae Andrews. She was a loving great-grandmother to Colby and Dakota Oden. The love she fostered will continue to resonate in the lives she shaped. In loving memory, the family invites all who knew and loved Roberta to join in remembering a remarkable woman whose compassion and kindness touched all who crossed her path. May she rest in peace, knowing that her love will forever bloom in the hearts of those she cherished.
