Roberta Ann Slay, age 56, of Powder Springs, GA, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2020. She was born on September 3, 1963 in Marietta, GA, to her loving parents; Robert and Frankie McNelley. Mrs. Slay achieved a associates degree in social services and later went on to care for Cobb County Senior Citizens, which she loved so much. She also worked as a bus driver for Cobb County for 22 years and was a life guard in her younger days! No matter what, Roberta always had a smile on her face that lit up the room. Most importantly, she loved her family and friends immensely, as her grandbabys meant the world to her. She was a loving mother, partner, daughter, sister and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her son; Bo Slay and Rebecca Powell of Temple, GA, daughters; Haley and Cody Devere of Tallapoosa, GA, Casey and Richard Harrison of Bremen, GA, father, Robert McNelley and his wife, Sue of Austell, GA, mother, Frankie McNelley and her husband, Kenny of Tampa, FL, long time loving boyfriend, Dave Jones of Powder Springs, GA, grandchildren; Wyatt Slay, Auron Devere, Tucker Harrison, Waylon Slay and Hunter Devere. As well as many nieces and nephews are also survived by her.
