Rodney Alan Dalton, age 70, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017. He was born on September 12, 1946, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Shirley C. & Eva Dalton. Mr. Dalton was retired from General Electric Company, a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, and a member of Knights of Columbus, Council # 12287.
Survivors include his wife, Dawn Dalton of Dallas, GA; sons, Bryan & Jessica Schwartz of Rockmart, GA, and David Schwartz of Dallas, GA; daughter, Krystal & Scott Chamberlain of Taylor, MI; brothers, Reverend Michael & Sheila Dalton of Jacksonville, FL, and Robert & Elaine Dalton of Newnan, GA; sisters, Gayle & Steve Fowler of Peoria, AZ, Cherri & Bill Snyder of Scottsdale, AZ, and Donna Carpenter & Bill Klink of Peoria, AZ; grandchildren, Rudy John Schwartz, Mira Belle Schwartz, and Violet Jewel Schwartz; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017, at 12 PM, from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church of Dallas, GA, with Father Adrian Pleus officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time. Interment will take place at the Georgia National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Memorial Prayer Garden at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church at 680 West Memorial Drive, Dallas, Georgia 30132, in Mr. Dalton’s memory.
