Rodney Tucker

Rodney Lamar Tucker passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023. He was born on April 13, 1948, a son of the late William and Bobby Mae Tucker in Moultrie, Georgia. Rodney grew up in Hiram, Georgia and later moved to Taylorsville, Georgia where he raised his family.

Rodney joined the United States Navy at a young age and served during The Vietnam War completing two tours. The military made him a very hard working man. He was self employed in the HVAC industry. Rodney will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and friend. He was a one of a kind man. Rodney was honest, loyal and would always speak his mind. Rodney was married to the love of his life, Rhonda Tucker for 40 years. He loved his children and grandchildren unconditionally. He was known as a man that would do anything for anyone, and would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it. He was a loyal Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Falcons fan. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Rodney is preceded in death by a son, Richard Lamar Tucker and four sisters. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rhonda Tucker; four sons, Ronald Larry Tucker, Ryan and Danielle Tucker , Russell and Maria Tucker ,Randy and Angie Tucker; a daughter, Regina Leann Tucker; a brother, Winford Tucker; a sister, Glenda and Charles Shipp; a brother-in-law, James Kinsey; two sisters-in-law, Karen Wilson, and Sonya Rocky Tindell, fifteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, December 29, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Service for Rodney will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 10:00 AM with Pastor John Goltz officiating. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens.
