Ronald Ebert

July 27, 1946 — February 7, 2025

Ronald Jason Ebert, 78, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on February 7, 2025. Born on July 27, 1946, in Sandusky, OH, to the late George and Florence Ebert, Ron led a life full of pride in his family, his work, and the impact he had on those around him.

Ron leaves behind a profound and enduring legacy. As the Director of Maintenance and New Construction at Six Flags Over Georgia, he spent his career designing roller coasters, mentoring young professionals, and ensuring both the joy and safety of the millions who visited the park. He found peace in the time he spent with family at his condo in Panama City Beach, Florida. A passionate enthusiast of all things related to computers and technology, Ron was also an avid baseball fan and enjoyed his self-proclaimed roles as a part-time weatherman and political commentator. Above all, his greatest love was his wife, Cheri, whom he cherished deeply.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brother, James Ebert, and his grandchildren, Mia Jordan and Patrick Lee Anderson.

He is survived by his devoted wife of over 61 years, Cheryl Ebert; daughters, Heidi (Patrick) Anderson, Heather (Kevin) Hilton, and Tiffany (Mark) Jordan; brothers, Chip Ebert, Dennis Ebert, and Bradley Ebert; grandchildren, Emily Worthan, Ryan Hilton, Austin Hilton, Ethan Jordan, and Brighton Jordan; great-grandchildren, Lila Bucklen-Lindgren, Ori Bucklen-Lindgren, and Devyn Graham, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22, at Hope Church, with the Reverend Dr. Mark S. Jordan officiating. The family will welcome friends from 2:00–3:00 PM, with the service following at 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hope Church. You may make contributions online by visiting Hope Church  and selecting “In Memory of Ron Ebert” from the “Fund” drop-down menu, or via US Mail to 1970 Charles Hardy Parkway, Dallas, GA 30157.

Though his passing leaves a deep and irreplaceable void, we take comfort in knowing that Ron’s legacy of love, commitment, and leadership will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed and always remembered. Your family loves you, Poppie, now and forever.

Clark Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the services for Mr. Ronald Jason Ebert.
