Roy Bennett Findley

Roy Bennett Findley Sr passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the age of 90. He was born on March 29, 1933, to the late Stephen and Annie Findley in Greenville, GA. He retired after 33 years as a Machine Operator with Lockheed Martin. Roy was a devoted member of Beulahland Baptist Church alongside his wife, Dorothy, where they faithfully served our Lord. Roy's favorite thing to do was anything outdoors. He would make up any excuse to get outside and on his lawnmower. When he wasn't working in the yard or on his car, he loved going trout fishing. He was incredibly loved and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, Roy is preceded in death by his brothers, Davis Findley, Jack Findley, John Findley, Joe Findley and sisters, Christine Camp, Betty Fabel, and Elizabeth Fuller. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Findley; five sons, James (Sandy) Owenby, Roy B. Findley Jr., David (Melissa) Findley, Danny (Julie) Owenby, Tim (Meghan) Owenby; one daughter, Shirley (Joe) Gary; one sister, Louise (Bob) Burke; 23 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, Ariel, on the way.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 10:00am until 12:00pm. Funeral Services for Mr. Roy will be held at Clark Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 12:00pm with Pastor Randy Clarke officiating. Interment will follow at Midway Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Brother Chris Reed officiating and the following gentleman serving as pallbearers, Mitchell Findley, Christian Grimm, Landon Grimm, Cory Findley, Mario Morales, and Josh Watkins.

The family requests those attending Mr. Roy's service wear bright and colorful attire.
