Ruby Dease

Ruby Chapman Dease, age 97, of McDonough, GA, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010. She was born April 1, 1912 in Greenville, SC and was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson Holden & Ida Shipman Holden; 1st husband, Bowen Chapman, Sr.; 2nd husband, Howard S. Dease; and infant son, Billy Chapman. Mrs. Dease was a homemaker and a member of Concord Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law, Bowen & Marlies Chapman of Johns Creek, GA; daughters & sons-in-law, Kathryn Mashburn of Mableton, GA, Annette Wood of Hiram, GA; Jerri & Fred Alverson of Douglasville, GA, Mary & Web Whitfield of Paulding County, GA and Connie & Paul Lindsey of McDonough, GA; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 16, 2010, at 3:00 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Don Rackley officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
