Russell Franklin Dickey, age 74, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. He was born on March 4, 1942, in New London, CT, by Kenneth & Bernice Dickey, SR, and was preceded in death by his brothers, Junior Dickey, David Dickey; brothers-in-law, Steven Lee, Sandy Lee; grandparents Russell & Ruth Cluny, and Mary & Frank Dickey. Mr. Dickey retired as a teacher after 33 years, teaching industrial technology and technology, and was a coach and remodeler.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Dickey of Dallas, GA; step-daughters, Nichole Michalke of Temple, GA, and Lauren & husband, Chuck Myers of Tallapoosa, GA; sons by choice, Trad Hill of Dallas, GA, and Curtis Easterwood of Temple, GA; brother, Billy & wife, Debra Dickey of Norwich, CT; sisters, Karen & husband, Herbie Renshaw of Rogersville, TN and Roxanne & husband, Bo Castellano of Acworth, GA; grandchildren, Matthew Russell Hampson, Abbey Michalke, Erin Michalke, Will Myers, Kate Myers, and Luke Myers; aunts, Doris Schlup, Marion Schneider and Ella Jane Saaty; many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016, at 6 PM from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor Michael Mishie Bojczuk officiating. The family will receive friends from the funeral home on Monday, September 19, 2016 from 4 PM until 6 PM.
