Russell Godfrey

Russell Godfrey, age 71, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2008. He was born on September 8, 1936 in Cherokee Co. to the late Onnie Walter and Mae Godfrey. He was a retired welder with ABC Awning and was a member of Narroway Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Bertha Mae Godfrey; sons, Steven Russell Godfrey of Dallas, Russell W. Godfrey of Dallas and Terry Kirkman of Conyers; his daughters, Trisha Michelle Godfrey of Dallas, Betty Godfrey of Dallas and Sandy Godfrey of Miami, FL; a daughter-in-law, Gail Godfrey of Bristol, FL; a brother and sister-in-law, Gene & Peggy Godfrey of Canton, GA; a sister, Louise Powell of Atlanta, GA; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home in Hiram with Rev. Jimmy Tibbitts officiating. The interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, Ga. is in charge of arrangements. www.samclarkfuneralhome.com
