Sam Griffith

Sam Robert Griffith, age 82, of Kennesaw, GA, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2015. He was born on April 15, 1933, in Trenton, New Jersey, to the late Samuel & Edna Griffith. Mr. Griffith graduated from Florida State University with a business degree and studied Meteorology. Sam was a member of First Assembly of God in Dallas, GA, retired from the United States Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant with 33 years of service, worked for Cobb Election Board as a poll work and for the Retired Teachers Association for 10 years.

Survivors include wife of 32 years, Marilyn Griffith of Kennesaw, GA; children; Curtis & Yvonne Griffith of Panama City Beach, FL, Susan & Ralph Bass of Savannah, GA, and Mitzi Harper from Savannah, GA, Kent McKnight of Savannah, GA, and Terra McKnight of Kennesaw, GA; grandchildren, Craig & Sarah Bass of Nashville, TN, Crystal Bass of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Alexis & John Noll of Ft. Lewis, Washington; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2015, at 3 PM, from Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Fussell officiating. Interment will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015, at 2 PM, in Savannah, GA, with David Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 1, 2015, from 1 PM until 3 PM.
