Sam Jones

Sam Wiley Jones passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024. He was born on September 23, 1935, son of the late Miles and Bernice Jones in Emerson, Georgia.

Sam proudly served his country in the United States Army. After the Army, Sam went to worked at Eastern Airlines until he retired. After his retirement from Eastern Airlines, Sam purchased Dallas Laundry and Cleaners from a family member, and ran it until he retired. Sam was a simple man. He loved to fish on his family lake, vegetable gardening, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Sam is preceded in death by his wife, Marcia M. Jones. He is survived by his son, Michael Jones; his daughter, Cathy Wills; two grandchildren, Alyssa (Jordan) DeJesus, and Cody H. (Sydney Corley) Wills; a great-granddaughter, Grady M. DeJesus; and a great-grandson, Baylor B. DeJesus.
