Sandra Brumelow

Sandra Joyce Brumelow, a beloved and cherished individual, peacefully passed away on January 24, 2024, in Atlanta, Georgia, at the age of 81. She was born on January 12, 1943, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late, Harry and Edith Hunnicutt.

A dedicated employee, Sandra served as the School Lunch Room Manager for Paulding County Schools, making a profound impact on the lives of countless children and colleagues at McGarity Elementary School. With her warm smile and compassionate heart, she created a nurturing environment that fostered positivity and ensured that every child received a healthy meal.

In addition to her parents, Sandra is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Kenneth Brumelow; and two brothers, Jimmy Hunnicutt and Bob Hunnicutt.

Sandra is survived by a daughter, Diane Brumelow; two sons, Ken Brumelow and David Brumelow; four grandchildren, Chayne (Jeremy) Bennett, Alyssa Brumelow, Jackson Brumelow, and Elli (Jeremiah) Hodge; 9 great-grandchildren; a brother, Philip Hunnicutt; two sisters, Norma Solomon, and Harriet Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Sandra loved to travel. She found solace in the pages of her Bible, deriving strength, faith, and guidance from its words. Above all, her true joy came from being at home, surrounded by her beloved family, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.

Sandra's love for her family knew no bounds. As a devoted mother to her children, she embraced her role as the "Mother Hen" and consistently went above and beyond to ensure their happiness and well-being. Her selfless nature extended to the rest of her family and friends, as she took care of everyone.

Sandra will forever be remembered and cherished by her adoring family. Her loving spirit and invaluable contributions to their lives will forever remain etched in their hearts.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Service for Sandra will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at 2:00 PM with Pastor Alan Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Joel Brumelow, Mat Brumelow, Jason Brumelow, Marc Brown, Anthony Trotter, Mikey Barnhill, Philip Barnhill, and Stan Hunnicutt serving as pallbearers. Family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Sandra are invited to join in remembering her and finding solace in the unity of love and support during this difficult time.

As we say goodbye to Sandra, let us remember her for the love and kindness she exemplified. May her spirit soar high and continue to guide and inspire us. She will forever be missed and cherished in our hearts.
