Sandra Cartin Thornberry, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at her home in Dallas, Georgia at the age of 69.
Sandra was born on Thursday, April 22, 1954, to Jennings and Ruth Cartin.
Sandra was a devout Christian, she loved the Lord, and she had unshakable faith. She loved being a mother to her sons and "Binga" to her three grandchildren and her one great-grandchild. Sandra was extremely loving and cared about everyone she met. She was a selfless person and a fierce fighter.
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents.
Sandra is lovingly survived by her husband of 25 years, Richard Keith Thornberry, sons, David Wayne (Catrese) Jeffares of Spokane, Washington, and James (Monika) Jeffares of Villa Rica, Georgia, her grandchildren, Thomas Jeffares, Jessica Jeffares, Gabriella Jeffares, and her great-grandchild, Alucard Vicente. She is also survived by her stepsons, Richard Austin (Brittney) Thornberry, Owen Marshall (Katie) Thornberry, step grandchildren, Austin Joseph Thornberry, Ally Thornberry, Addison Osborne, Amelia Jane Thornberry, Elijah Thornberry, John Carson Thornberry, and by her fur baby, Missy.
Sandra's family will receive friends on Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Clark Funeral Home and Chapel. A service for Sandra will be Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 4:00pm at Clark Funeral Home and Chapel with Bishop Thomas Blagg officiating. Sandra will be laid to rest on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 10:30am at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
