Sara Pittman

It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Sara "Sadie" Dale Pittman, who passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, at the age of 79. She was born on May 15, 1945, in Dallas, GA, to the late William and Melrose Gladney. Sadie was a devoted mother, proud grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be missed greatly.

Sadie lived a life rich in love and laughter. Family was always her top priority, and she poured her heart into everything she did. She had an adventurous spirit, enjoying playing basketball at Villa Rica High School, water skiing, gardening, feeding the birds, and caring for animals. A true storyteller at heart, Sara loved sharing her experiences and chatting with family and friends, always making everyone feel special and welcome.

Sadie dedicated her professional life as an Administrative Assistant for Cobb County Parks and Recreation, where her contributions left a lasting impact on the community she loved.

In addition to her parents, Sadie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Dan Pittman; sister, Melinda Slate; and niece, Sherry Thompson.

Sadie is survived by her three loving sons, Daniel (Jessica) Pittman, Matthew Pittman, and Clint (Roni) Pittman, along with her cherished grandchildren, Megan (Michael) Nadeau, Cole Pittman, Andrew Pittman, William Pittman, Lane Reeves, Hailey Pittman, Brianna Pittman, and Aiden Pittman. She was also a joyful great-grandmother to Hudson Pittman; She is also survived by her Great nephew Cy (Nicole) Thompson and Great-great nephew Arlo Thompson.

The family will receive friends on January 16, 2025, at Clark Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 5:00 PM at Clark Funeral Home from the Sam Clark Chapel with Sam Braswell and Thomas Cole officiating. The Funeral Service will be live streamed from this page or by clicking here: Live Stream. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
