Sarah Barber

Sarah Frances Free Barber, age 84, of Leesburg, AL, formerly of Dallas, GA, passed away Monday, August 27, 2012. She was born April 22, 1928, in Paulding County, GA, and was preceded in death by her father, Charles Emory Free & mother, Fannie Belle Cole Free. She was married to Leon T. Barber in 1945 and he passed away December 18, 2009. Mrs. Barber was a seamstress and worked at Brown Hosiery, Sewell Manufacturing and J. H. Block. She enjoyed fishing, working in her flower beds, and she enjoyed her grandchildren. Mrs. Barber was a member of New Georgia Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law, Tommy & Tanya Barber of Dallas, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Gail & Tom Wilson of Leesburg, AL; grandchildren, Tammy & Kenny Revelle of Dallas, GA, Rachel & Bob Sleppy of Athens, GA and Banks Barber of Dallas, GA; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Kara & Emily Revelle of Dallas, GA and Finley Sleppy of Athens, GA; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 30, 2012, at 1:00 PM, with Brother Charles Bice officiating. Interment will follow in Melrose Hills Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
